Agustín Fernández

Indispensable to the discourse of global Surrealism, the Cuban painter Agustín Fernández developed a singular aesthetic in which imaginative forms take on material substance. Bringing into focus the artist’s years in New York City, the exhibition and its accompanying catalogue examine key points in Fernández’s career and the seminal works created while living in the city.
